What is Baseline?
Question Link
Answer

A baseline is a static copy of plan data that’s compared with actual and current data. It refers to a set of data about project that represents state before the work actually began.

Baselines helps to compare actual vs. planned. Baseline schedule means taking a copy of your schedule and set aside for comparison later on. A baseline is a snapshot/a picture of your project at a particular moment in time.

Baseline is a copy of the final approved schedule. It is the target to aim. As much is possible, the baseline should remain the same throughout the project.

What is Deadline?
Question Link
Answer

A deadline is a target date indicating when you want a task to be completed. Imposing an inflexible constraint such as Must Finish On, that sets the finish date can lock up your schedule in ways you don't want. Instead, if you just need a reminder, you can use the deadline field of a task. This will create a green downward arrow on the Gantt chart, that marks the deadline date. The advantage of deadlines is that they keep track of its finish date without locking the schedule.

What is the difference in cost and work resources?
Question Link
Answer
Cost resources are different from work and material resources in that cost resources represent costs commonly incurred to complete various tasks within a project. Cost resources are a "fixed" type of resource cost, like the cost of equipment your people need, or one-time resource costs such as their travel expenses. The work resources are the ones that will burn effort and represent the people required to complete tasks in the project.
