How to use Project Plan 365 app over different platforms and devices?

In order to use Project Plan 365 on multiple platforms (macOS, iOS, Windows, Android) you should purchase the Standard/Business Subscription from our website. You can purchase the Standard/Business Subscription from our Purchase page. Please download and install our latest app from the Download page. In order to use the purchased subscription, just Sign In with your email and password inside the Project Plan 365 app (look upper right corner for Sign In button or go to the backstage menu File - Account and click the Sign In button).

How to Sign In inside Project Plan 365 application?

To Sign In inside Project Plan 365, open the application and look upper right corner for the Sign In button or go to the backstage menu File - Account and click the Sign In button. Insert your Project Plan 365 email address and password or Sign In with a third-party account (Apple, Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn). 

How do I restore the subscription inside Project Plan 365 app?

To restore the subscription in Project Plan 365 app, please go to menu File - Account – Account Information and click on the Restore Subscription button.

Where to enter the license key?

To enter the license key, go to menu Help – About (or File menu – Account - About), and click the Enter Product key button. Insert the license key and click the Register button. Please note that if you purchased the Standard or Business Subscription for Project Plan 365 app, you don't need a license key, just Sign In with your email and password inside Project Plan 365 app. The license key can be used only for local installed application on Mac and Windows devices.  

Why has my account reverted to the trial version?

If you have a paid Standard Subscription and you have started the Business Trial by mistake please follow these steps:

1. Go to Online Portal.
2. Sign In with your email and password.
3. Then, in Account page, click on Cancel Subscription button.
4. Sign Out and back Sign In inside application with your email and password or close and reopen the application.

You can also cancel the subscription directly from app by following the steps:1.Sign In with your email and password.
2. Then, go to File menu – Account and click the Cancel Subscription button.
3. Sign Out and Sign In back inside the application with your email and password.

How to change the Business Name?

In order to change the name of your organization, Sign In with your email and password in Online Portal, then in Account page insert the new name in the Business Name field. You can also change it directly from our Project Plan 365 app. Go to File menu – Account tab – Organization Information and click the Global Settings button. In Global Settings dialog (click any tab) type the new name in the Business Name field.

Any team member can change the Business Name?

How can I start a trial?

To start the Standard Trial, please Sign Up on Project Plan 365 Portal. Once you created your account, in Account page you will see the details about the Standard Trial. After this, you can invite other Team Members to join your organization in Team page and you can insert the Business Name in Account page.

In order to use the Standard Trial features, download and install our latest application from our Download page. Then, each team member needs to Sign In with his email and password inside Project Plan 365 app.

Note: When you create an account on our website, automatically you will start a 30 days Standard Trial Subscription.

How can I download the updated app?

To download the latest version of Project Plan 365 please go to the https://www.projectplan365.com/download/ page - select the Platform and click on Download Project Plan 365 button. You will be redirected to the “Thank you for Downloading the Project Plan 365” page and the download will begin. If the download doesn’t begin, click on “Click here to try again” link. After that, follow the “Download Instructions” from the “Thank you for downloading Project Plan 365” page in order to locate the installer.

How do I change the role for a team member from Read-Only to Editor?

To change the role for a team member from Read-Only to Editor, Sign In in our Project 365 Online Portal and in Team Members page change the role for the desired team member. Note: 
1. By default, the owner of the organization has the Editor role.
2. If you already purchased a subscription, please know that you need to purchase a subscription for each Editor team member.
3. You can add as many read-only team members as you need for free.

I purchased Advanced Viewer subscription from Microsoft Store. How can I use this subscription on other platform or device?

To use your subscription on multiple platforms please follow the steps below:

1. Make sure you downloaded and installed our latest application from Microsoft Store.
2. Open application.
3. Go to menu Help - Subscriptions.
4. Press on Start Advanced-Viewer Subscription.
5. Wait for the confirmation message.
6. If you don’t have a Project 365 account, Sign Up in our Online Portal page.
7. Sign In with your email and password inside the application in order to copy the subscription information from Microsoft Store to your Project 365 account.
8. Then, if you want to use the subscription on other device or platform you need to download and install on that device the latest app from our Download page.
9. Sign In with your email and password inside Project Viewer 365 application (look upper right corner for Sign In button).

I purchased Complete Editor subscription from Microsoft Store. How can I use this subscription on other platform or device?

1. Make sure you downloaded and installed our latest application from Microsoft Store.
2. Open application.
3. Go to menu Help - Subscriptions.
4. Press on Start Complete Editor Subscription.
5. Wait for the confirmation message.
6. If you don’t have a Project 365 account, Sign Up in our Online Portal page.
7. Sign In with your email and password inside the application in order to copy the subscription information from Microsoft Store to your Project 365 account.
8. Then, if you want to use the subscription on other device or platform you need to download and install on that device the latest app from our Download page.
9. Sign In with your email and password inside Project Plan 365 application (look upper right corner for Sign In button).

Does the subscription restore when I open the application?

The subscription from our website will be restored automatically each time you open the application. In this way, your subscription will be up to date and you don’t need to manually restore the subscription or to Sign Out and back Sign inside app.
When do I need to restore the subscription?

You need to restore the subscription when you made some changes to your subscription information. For example, when you renew your expired subscription or you upgraded from Standard to Business Subscription. Once you open the application, the subscription will be automatically restored. 
Can we assign a role so that a user can edit plan but not delete tasks?

The Editor has full control over an mpp file. The Read-Only member can only open and read the file.
