Can I add password protected projects to a Portfolio?

You can add password protected files to a portfolio but when viewing the portfolio information, the following message will be displayed for the protected files: “You cannot view information about this project because it is password protected”.

How to delete a Portfolio?

To delete a Portfolio, go to our Online Portal page and Sign In with your email and password. After that, click on the Portfolios tab and then on the Delete button for the desired portfolio. A message will appear saying “Are you sure you want to permanently delete the portfolio?” then click OK for the changes to apply.You can also delete a Portfolio directly from the application, by going to menu File – Home – Portfolio. Click on the Delete button and then click OK in the message that appears for the changes to apply.
How to preview a Portfolio?

To preview a Portfolio, go to our Online Portal page and Sign In with your email and password. After that click on the Portfolios tab and then either click on the Portfolio Name or on the Preview button for the desired portfolio. The portfolio will be shown containing the selected information for each project in a table format.You can also preview a Portfolio directly from the application, by going to the menu File – Home – Portfolios. Click on the Preview button for the desired portfolio to display its content.
How to edit a Portfolio?

To edit a Portfolio, go to our Online Portal page and Sign In with your email and password. After that, click on the Portfolios tab and then on the Edit button for the desired portfolio. Then, make the desired changes to the portfolio and click OK for the changes to apply.You can also edit a Portfolio directly from the application, by going to the menu File – Home – Portfolios. Click on the Edit button for the desired portfolio, make the changes and click OK for the changes to apply.Note: The Portfolios can also be edited by clicking on the Portfolio Name or Preview button for the desired Portfolio and then on the Edit portfolio button from the page/dialog.
How to create a Portfolio directly from the application?

To create a Portfolio directly from the application, follow the steps below:
  1. Go to menu File – Home – Portfolios;
  2. Click on the Add New Portfolio button;
  3. Type in a Name for the Portfolio;
  4. Select the desired project(s) from the Project(s) field;
  5. Add the desired project fields by clicking the Add new item button from the Fields section;
  6. Click OK in order for the portfolio to be created.

  1. Go to our Online Portal page and Sign In with your email and password;
  2. Click on the Portfolios tab and then on the Add New Portfolio button;
  3. Type in a Name for the Portfolio;
  4. Select the desired project(s) from the Project(s) field;
  5. Add the desired project fields by clicking the Add new item button from the Fields section;
  6. Click OK in order for the portfolio to be created.
What does the Portfolio Info functionality do?

The Portfolio Info functionality allows you to create a custom dashboard by selecting the projects and project fields and see the values in a table format inside the application or in our Online Portal.
On what platform is the Scheduled Reports functionality available?

The Scheduled Reports functionality is currently available only on the Windows, Mac and iOS (iPad) platforms.  

Can the finish date be changed for the tasks with progress?

Yes, the finish date for the tasks with progress can be changed and the % complete will change automatically:
  1. When editing the finish date of a task in the future when it has % complete, the % complete will decrease and the "Finish no earlier than" constraint will automatically apply to the task. 
  2. When editing the finish date of a task in the past when it has % complete, the % complete will increase and the "Finish no earlier than" constraint will automatically apply to the task.
How can I receive the Project status report monthly?

In order to receive a Project Status report monthly, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to our Online Portal page and Sign In with your email and password.
  2. Go to Reports tab, click on the Edit button for the desired report (if you have a report created) or click on the Add New Scheduled Report to create a new report;
  3. In the Report Schedule section – Frequency, select Monthly. Then you can also select the Monthly Recurrence.
  4. In the Monthly Recurrence section, you can select in which day the report will be sent.
  5. Press OK for the changes to apply.

Please note that the preferred delivery time uses the EST (Eastern Standard Time) time zone, not the time zone set on your device.

You can apply the above settings by accessing the Scheduled Reports from the Report menu, directly from the application.

How can I receive the Project status report weekly?

In order to receive a Project Status report weekly, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to our Online Portal page and Sign In with your email and password.
  2. Go to Reports tab, click on the Edit button for the desired report (if you have a report created) or click on the Add New Scheduled Report to create a new report;
  3. In the Report Schedule section – Frequency, select Weekly. You can also select the Weekly Recurrence and set in which day of the week to receive the Project Status Report email.
  4. Press OK for the changes to apply.

Please note that the preferred delivery time uses the EST (Eastern Standard Time) time zone, not the time zone set on your device.

You can apply the above settings by accessing the Scheduled Reports from the Report menu, directly from the application.

How can I receive the Project status report daily?

In order to receive a Project Status report daily, follow the steps below:

  2. Go to Reports tab, click on the Edit button for the desired report (if you have a report created) or click on the Add New Scheduled Report to create a new report.
  3. In the Report Schedule section – Frequency, select Daily.
  4. Press OK for the changes to apply.

A message will appear saying “Generating report, please wait…” . After that, your report will be generated.

You can also preview a Scheduled Report directly from the application, by going to the Report menu – Scheduled Reports. Click on the “Preview” icon for the desired report.

Note that you can also preview a report by entering in Edit mode for the desired report and then click on the Preview button.

How to delete a Scheduled Report?

You can also disable a Scheduled Report directly from the application, by going to the Report menu – Scheduled Reports. Click on the “Edit” button for the desired report and from the Enable Schedule section, uncheck the Report Scheduled is Enabled field and press OK for the changes to apply.

  1. Go to the Report menu – Scheduled Reports;
  2. Click on the Add New Scheduled Report button;
  3. Fill in all the required fields with the desired information and press OK in order for the report to be created.

Note: Password Protected MPP files are not supported by Scheduled Reports! If you do add password protected MPP file to scheduled reports, the report will not be sent and Preview will be unavailable!

How to create a Scheduled Report from Online Portal page?

To create a Scheduled Report, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to our Online Portal page and Sign In with your email and password.
  2. Click on the Reports tab and then on the Add New Scheduled Report.
  3. Fill in all the required fields with the desired information and press OK in order for the report to be created.

Note that Password Protected MPP files are not supported by Scheduled Reports! If you do add password protected MPP file to scheduled reports, the report will not be sent and Preview will be unavailable!

Is there a way to move columns in the reports so you can fit all the data on one page?

Answer
We are sorry but at this moment we don’t support moving columns in the reports. As a workaround, you can change the Paper size for the desired Report. In order to do that, go to the Report menu, select the desired report from the list and click on the Page Setup button. After that, change the Orientation to Landscape and from the Paper Size, select a bigger one, for example A3.
