Is the real-time collaboration feature available only for the Business Subscription or also with the Standard Subscription?

The real-time collaboration mode is possible only with the Business Subscription. Each team member that wants to collaborate needs to have the Editor role in organization and must have access to that project (if the project belongs to a division).

I need to share a sheet with someone outside my company. They need to be an editor on the sheet but not able to access all of the other project plans my company has created.

They need to purchase our tool from our website and they will be outside of your team. Then, you can share the link of your .MPP file with them and they won’t have access to other .MPP files in your organization. 
How can I share a project directly from My Projects - Drive 365 cloud service?

In order to share a project directly from My Projects - Drive 365 cloud service, go to File menu – My Projects - Drive 365. In the file picker, right-click on the project you want to share and choose Share option from the contextual menu. Then, just type the E-mail address and a message, if you want, and click the option available in the Share Projects with the Team Members dialog: Copy Link. Then, click on the Share Project button from the dialog and the E-mail will be sent to the added e-mail address. 
Can I format the rows in Real-Time Collaboration?

In order to format the rows in Real-Time Collaboration, select a task/multiple tasks or a cell/multiple cell, then go to the Format menu – Font option. Another way to access “Font” dialog is to select a task/multiple tasks or a cell/multiple cell, right click on them and from the contextual menu select "Font" option. A dialog will appear from which you can make the desired format changes.

I use the local installed program on my pc and sometimes the application disconnects from the project I work and I need to open that project again.

If you are disconnected when using the Real-Time collaboration, you can increase the time by going to menu File-Options and in Advanced tab increase the time for Collaboration Timeout.

What is the difference between Simple Collaboration and Real time Collaboration?

By "Simple Sharing and Collaboration" we are referring to the fact that with a Standard subscription you have access to Drive365 where you can save your projects, to which the members of your organization have access and can open, modify and save them. Also, you can share files saved in Drive365 with your team members.

The difference between "Simple Sharing" and "Real-Time Collaboration" is that Real Time Collaboration is a feature available only for Business subscription, which allows the users the possibility to modify at the same time a file saved in Drive365. Any member of your organization that is in Collaboration mode can see in real time any modification made at that time by another member of the organization.
Can I share without emailing?

Inside the application, you can't share files without emailing them but you can export the project to PDF, MPP, Excel, XML and send it to your team members.
If I share a project with a client or team member, do they need to have the software to view the file?

If you share your mpp file with a client or a team member, they can download our application from Download page. After this, they can use the application in Free Read-Only mode and can open and view the file.
How can I generate a link for my project?

First, you need to Sign In with your email and password inside Project Plan 365 application. You can get a link to your project only if it is saved on a cloud platform by clicking menu Team Share - Share or menu File – Share. Viewing and updating the project require authentication on the cloud platforms or SharePoint, respectively, and permissions need to be granted there, otherwise, the application will warn the team members that they do not have enough rights to view/update the MPP file. 

How can I enter in real-time collaboration mode?

To enter in Real-Time Collaboration mode, first, you need to Sign In with your email and password inside Project Plan 365 app with an Editor account. Go to the menu Share – Real-Time Collaboration or click on the Real-Time Collaboration Toggle in the Quick Access Toolbar. If your file is not saved in Drive 365 cloud, you will be asked to save the file in Drive 365 and then the mpp file will be opened in Real-Time Collaboration mode.

Can I experience collaborative mode during the trial period?

In order to evaluate the real-time collaboration feature, please start a 30 days Business Trial on our Project Plan 365 Portal. Then, Sign In with your email and password inside the Project Plan 365 app and open a file previously saved in My Projects - Drive 365 cloud service. Then, enable the Collaboration by going inside the application to menu Share - Real-Time Collaboration.

How do I setup the real-time collaboration?

To set up any .MPP file for real-time collaboration (rTc), follow this procedure:

1. Sign In or Sign Up to the Business (PMO) Subscription using your email & password in Project Plan 365 app.
2. Having the Editor role, open the MPP file that you want to collaborate on with others, and save it to Drive 365 cloud service.
3. Check off the resources you want to include, and then tap on the Add Team Members button.
Note: if you later want to manually add resources, log into the Project Plan 365 Online Portal and click "Team Members" to manually invite new users to this collaboration.
4. Now open the project from Drive 365. By default, the mpp file will open in Exclusive Mode, but if you want to collaborate with other team members, please go to menu Share – Real-Time Collaboration.
5. Also, you can go to the menu Share – Share in order to share the link from your plan with other team members.

How can I share a project through email link?

To share your project with other team members, please follow the steps below:

1. Sign in with your email and password inside Project Plan 365 app (look upper right corner for Sign In button).
2. Open the desired project.
3. Go to menu File – Share - Share Link.
4. If your file is not saved on a cloud service, the application will redirect you to save the file in our private My Projects -Drive 365 cloud.
5. Insert the email addresses for recipients. The autocomplete feature is available for team members that are already into your organization. You can share also the project with new email addresses that are not into your organization yet. These new emails can become team members after sharing the project.

How can I send a PDF file of a project as an email attachment?

To Send a PDF file of a project, go to menu File - Share - Send as PDF. Insert the email addresses of your team members and add a text message if you want, then click on the Share Project button. A PDF file will be generated based on the project you have. This PDF file is sent as an attachment to your team members.

How can I change the collaboration timeout?

You can customize the inactivity period before the file in real-time collaboration mode closes. In order to do that, go to the File menu and select Options. Select the Advanced tab and from General Options, customize the Collaboration Timeout as you desire. For changes to take effect, click OK. The minimum value for the collaboration timeout option is 5 minutes and the maximum is 120 minutes.

Can I see a project from my phone if I received it by email link?

Any project can be shared with other team members?

Only the projects that are saved in a cloud service can be shared with other team members. When you click on Share button, if the project isn’t save to the cloud, the application will redirect you to save the project in My Projects - Drive 365 cloud service.
