Yes, you can use our application without having Microsoft Project installed on your device. Please know that our software is not part of Office 365. Our tool is called Project Plan 365 and it is compatible with Microsoft Project in the sense that you can open in our tool the files saved in Microsoft Project or you can open in Microsoft Project the files created in our tool, but we are not a Microsoft owned application.
Can I prevent any files from being opened from cloud using this software?

For Windows platform we provide custom MSI switches to install the app without cloud options. After the install, there will not be any options to save files to clouds. Please read the Silent Install/Uninstall article for more information.

Where can I find the “About” dialog?

Why I can’t see the “About” button in ribbon on the Mac platform?

If the “About” button is not visible in ribbon, please press "More" button. You should be able to find in the dropdown the button that doesn't fit inside the ribbon because of the small window size.
