Can I share a project from the Drive 365?

There are three possibilities you can share your project with your team members or people outside the organization:

  1. By using the Share option from the Share - Share menu;
  2. By clicking on the Share Project button from the Share bar that appears after opening a file;
  3. By going to File menu – Open – My Projects - Drive 365  and in the file picker right-click on the project you want to share and choose Share option from the contextual menu.

Just type the E-mail address and a message, if you want, and click on one of the three options available in the Share Projects with the Team Members dialog: Copy Link, Send as PDF, Send as MPP.For more information, check the Share online help article.

How to add resources for tasks in the Gantt Chart view?

To add resources from the Gantt Chart table, in the Resource Name column, write or select the resource you want to add and set the units or the number of items.To assign resources to tasks in Gantt Chart view, you can import the existing team members from your organization or to add other resources.

  1. To assign an existing team member from your organization to a task, in the Gantt Chart view, click on the down arrow in Resource Names field and from the drop-down list, select a team member (marked with an icon).
  2. To add a resource that is not a team member, simply insert his name in Resource Names field.

Another way to assign a team member or a resource to a task, is to select a task and go to menu Team - Assign - Team Member / Resource.

Why I'm not able to delete a file from Drive 365?

Please know that only the users with Admin rights can delete the files from Drive 365. Contact the owner of the team to give you Admin rights.

Our application supports saving your .MPP files in the following clouds locations: Drive 365, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Project Online/Server, SharePoint, Box, Basecamp.
How do I set days to specific working times?

Answer

To change the working times in your calendar, please go to the menu Project menu - Change Working Time. In the Work Weeks tab, click on the Details button and for each working day, set the working hours. For the specific working times to be applied to your project, don’t forget to go to menu File – Options – Schedule tab and change the “Default start time” and “Default end time” values, as well as “Hours per day” and “Hours per week” values to match the set working times. 

Why aren’t the “Top” and “Bottom” bar text options available on Mac?

To see the actual work performed for a task, you can add the Actual Work field. In the Gantt Chart View, select any field and go to FormatInsert Column. From the Field Name dropdown list select Actual Work.

Why isn't the total cost of a summary task updated when using custom fields?

The Custom fields of Cost type do not automatically calculate the total sum of subtasks of a Summary Task.The only field that works with this formula is the Cost field.Custom Cost fields are used to add custom currency data to an individual task information and does not use the same formula as the Cost field that automatically calculates Summary Tasks value.
How can I create a report only with the columns I need?

To create a report only with the desired columns, go to menu Project - Report - Custom - New. From the "All Columns" section, select the desired fields and move them in the "Report Columns" section. Press "Save" for the changes to apply.

What happens if I added multiple team members with Editor role while in trial?

If you add multiple team members with Editor role while you are in trial your card will be automatically debited for the number of assigned subscriptions only if you don’t cancel Auto-Renewal before your trial expires.

Please know that the subscription period will automatically renew unless you turn it off no later than 48 hours before the end of the current period. To cancel automatic renewal or manage your subscriptions, read the Cancel Subscription online help article.

How many team members can I assign to organization when I am in Standard/Business Trial?

When on Standard/Business Trial you can assign as many team members as you want. 

Please know you can add Read-Only users without any additional changes, however if you want to add Editor team members you will have to change the quantity of your Trial Subscriptions. Click here to learn more about how to Change Quantity.
